The KCtheDJ entertainment service is for anyone who needs to hire musical entertainment, simple as that. This could mean wedding receptions, company picnics, graduation parties, proms, and so much more. Here's what you get:
One month before the event, we'll get together and go over the entire thing from start to finish. Why one month? Because by then, no matter what the event is, most of the other plans have been finalized and are out of the way, leaving one's mind somewhat clearer to think about the specifics of the entertainment. Also by waiting until one month before, the music is pretty fresh. If we meet 6 months before the event, the music out and on the radio at the time of the event would be different than when it was when we met, and song ideas may have been altered. This is inconvenient and costly.
Also part of the basic service, is the entertainment itself. I provide the sound system, and a selection from over 20,000 song titles, custom picked for your event. I'll perform for the specified time booked, and I'll provide MC duties such as introductions, announcements, and whatever else is warranted.

KCtheDJ Policies
There are some musical selections that are, in my opinion, inappropriate for wedding receptions. They include "gangsta" or hard-core rap, hard alternative rock from the likes of Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Marilyn Manson, and music from groups such as Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead. These musical forms have their place - in your home or car stereo. They don't belong on the reception dance floor.
Too often these pieces have offensive lyrics or are difficult for some people to listen to. With that in mind, I also will not accept music from outside sources, other than the bride and the groom (i.e.- I have this CD in my car...will you play it?). I don't know the condition of that CD, nor will I know the content on the CD. Therefore, I don't accept them.
